McKean County, PA Cold Cases
***MISSING OVER 80 YEARS***
Marjorie West was last seen May 8, 1938, around the White Gravel area, near Marshburg, PA (McKean County)
Age at disappearance: 4 years old, almost 5 (birthdate: June 2, 1933)
Her name is sometimes written as “Marjory”.
She had blue eyes. red hair, and a freckled face. Marjorie was last seen wearing a red “Shirley Temple” type hat, blue dress, blue coat, and patent leather shoes.
Marjorie and her family traveled from their home in Bradford, PA to the White Gravel area (about 11 miles) for a Mother’s Day picnic. Marjorie was picking flowers with her sister in the forest when her sister left to talk to their mother for a few moments. When she returned, Marjorie was gone. Despite a massive search of the region, she has never been located.
It is possible that Marjorie was abducted and grew up elsewhere, unaware of her circumstances. It is also a distinct possibility that she fell into an abandoned oil well, mine, or natural cave, all of which were present in that area.
If you know her whereabouts.
