Today is the 77th Anniversary of World War Two D-Day Landings on Normandy
Fugitive Watch wishes to salute the American, British and Canadian men that made the historic and bloody landings on the French beaches of Normandy.
Approximately 156,000 troops, 23,000 airborne soldiers, started out in the early morning hours on landing barges in the face of deadly machinegun and artillery fire.
By sunset, they have suffered 10,000 casualties. These brave men faced and overcame insurmountable odds during the battle but won the battle that eventually led to the defeat of Nazi Germany.
