Alleged Polk County Burglary Suspects Caught on Camera

POLK COUNTY, Mo. — A home in Polk County was burglarized. Two thieves were caught red-handed on camera.

“I don’t think I have ever been that mad in my entire life,” said Jacob Bethurem.

Jacob Bethurem is a homeowner in Polk County. He says he has been constructing a house from the ground up since January. He was burglarized this past weekend. While Bethurem says the thieves snooped around the property, only getting off with plumbing tools and smaller things, he said they were going to come back for the bigger items once the couple got a vehicle.

“They had all of our appliances and our tools lined up, single-file line, to where they could basically load up the truck and get them out quickly,” said Bethurem.

He says he was able to capture the two suspects by using a camera.
Bethurem has filed a police report with the Polk County Sheriffs Office.

Sheriff Danny Morrison says they do have suspects in mind, but in the meantime, Bethurem made a sign for outside his house to let the couple know they are not welcome on his property.

“We made sure that to let them know that we knew they were here or been here and we just aren’t gonna stand for it,” said Bethurem.
