Since that event, police continue to search for Lawler to arrest him for assault.

On Tuesday, 07/16/2019, APPD detectives visited with the District Attorney of San Patricio County, Sam Smith. DA Smith after reviewing the case and video evidence decided the assault charge against Lawler was inadequate. DA Smith instructed investigators to proceed with a felony attempted murder charge against him.

  • PLEASE help locate this Man, Jacob Lawler!
I am the Lady that witnessed these events and posted the videos! Myself and my family have had life threats! He had already threatened my life on the 9th! That is the reason I had blocked the family and locked myself in my home! Over 3 day time we had been harrassed threatened with armed man trying to gain access to our home over dozen times….banging on our door, taunting me, Looking up in my windows! I had been threatened personally the previous night when the landlord asked me to please go get his # for him. I had witnessed illegal activity in the home and multiple persons were involved, NOT just Jacob! He blamed me for him getting thrown out of his home! I had NO idea he was upset with me until he moved in downstairs and the girl told me she had been trying to convince him I had no malicious intent when I told his brother my concern… I had lived in the upstairs apt for 6 months and had befriended his aunt that lived in the apt downstairs. I had only seen Jacob a few times with his family while visiting his aunt, and had been warned by her, his brother and others he was trouble and the girl was worse, so they say. He came to my home uninvited to ask me to check on his pregnant gf, I told him that day he could NOT come to my apt, my husband and children were sleeping and warned him that everything was being recorded to not to do anything illegal! I notified the landlord and asked him to please have them leave because we were in danger and He was BAD! and was happening and they were dealing drugs and he had a one of his partners sitting on my bottom steps 3 days. I was warned I would be killed if I told what I had seen! I have a recording of one officer covering my camera when the girl showed up caring a piece of paper asking another officer if they were there for HER. The police escorted me and my son to a hotel with our weapons, while they obtained a warrant for him. Around 4 AM a man tried to force his way in our hotel room and covered the peephole! Called police, another officer said it was no coincidence! I am exhausted and just want to keep my family safe! We have been contacted by his family members threatening me and my family
