Mario Ciolina Alleged Barricaded Suspect Arrested After Standoff

***Search Warrant and Arrest for Weapons Related Charges***
As a result of patrol officer’s thorough initial investigation, teamed with extensive follow-through from patrol and investigations, a suspect in a shooting on July 15, 2019, was identified as Mario Ciolina, 37 of Suisun City. The investigation revealed Ciolina was a previously convicted felon, who was prohibited from possessing firearms. On July 18, 2019, officers attempted to serve a search warrant at the location to recover the firearm. Ciolina barricaded himself and refused to comply with demands to exit the residence. The regional Solano County SWAT team responded to assist with the apprehension of Ciolina. After several hours, Ciolina surrendered and was apprehended without incident and taken into custody. A search of the residence yielded multiple firearms.
Ciolina was arrested on probable cause and booked into the Solano County Jail on several felony charges including a felon in possession of a firearm.
