Mexican police killed 9 drug cartel gunmen in a fierce gun battle that was caught on camera by bystanders.

The shootout began when police in Saltillo, Coahuila were ambushed by gunmen in the Loma Linda neighborhood, wounding at least 2 officers.

Backup officers responded and pursued the gunmen to their hideout where another shootout ensued.

In the end, 9 cartel gunmen, including 2 women were killed.
