Mountain View Police Arrested Felipe de Jesus Meza Prieto Alleged Sexual Batteries

Mountain View police arrested Felipe de Jesus Meza Prieto in connection to two sexual batteries that occurred this week. Authorities say the first incident happened on Wednesday around 5:20 p.m. on the 500 block of Central Avenue. Reports say the suspect tried to push his way into a home.
The woman who lived at the home told police, she heard a loud pounding on her door. When she looked out to see who it was, she noticed the peephole was covered. When she slightly opened her door to see who was outside, a man tried to push his way inside.
The victim was fortunate enough to close the door and call police. One of the officers who arrived at the scene spotted a man who matched the suspect description at Central and Santa Rosa avenues. The officer stopped the man and immediately recognized that he also matched the description of a sexual battery suspect who had inappropriately touched at least two women in the downtown area Tuesday night.
Police say those incidents occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. on Castro Street. The suspect allegedly grabbed at least two women and continued walking. The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Felipe de Jesus Meza Prieto of Mountain View, was subsequently arrested for burglary, assault with intent to commit felony, and sexual battery.
