The man identified as the primary suspect in the fatal shooting of a South San Francisco woman has apparently shot himself to death, authorities announced Thursday.
Robert Riley, 43, also known as Chui Chekele Riley, was wanted for shooting and killing his wife Vanessa Palma, 34, in the Mission Terrace area on June 7, according to San Francisco police.
On Wednesday, investigators determined Riley was at a house in the San Joaquin County town of French Camp, more than a week after he is believed to have fled from the shooting scene on the 4500 block of Mission Street.
Officers found the body of Riley, who had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
There are no other suspects wanted in connection to the investigation, police said Thursday.
