Lincoln, Nebraska police said one of the two men accused of breaking into a home and stealing $1,600 worth of items is in custody. Officers are still searching for the other man.
LPD said it happened at about 10:20 a.m. Thursday, June 14, at the corner of 33rd and High streets.
Police said the resident came home and found damage to the back door and window where entry was forced.
Luckily, the resident had a camera, which caught two men knocking on doors and windows, and also shows one trying to break the double pane glass door while the other man breaks a back window.
After breaking the window, they walk away for a short time. Police said it’s possible they were waiting to see if there was an alarm or if anyone had alerted the police.
They returned a short time later, entered the home and stole jewelry and tools, police said.
LPD said Friday evening that officers identified the men pictured above thanks to the public’s help, but the department is not yet releasing their names or any other information until the investigation wraps up and both men are in custody.
