San Francisco Bay Area Violent Crime

Man Stabbed at Sebastopol Flea Market

After 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a stabbing and robbery at the Sebastopol Flea Market. The victim, a 32-year-old Rohnert Park man, had several stab wounds and was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies interviewed the victim in the hospital and he told them that he had been at the flea market with his family earlier in the day. He drove his family home to Rohnert Park then came back alone to the flea market where he parked in the far west corner of the main parking lot.

While he was standing by his truck, the suspect approached him on foot from the west field and asked him for a dollar. When the victim opened his wallet to give the suspect a dollar, the man hit him over the head with a blunt object and then stabbed him in the arm and stomach. The suspect took his wallet and ran back towards the west field.

The area was searched, but the suspect was not located. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, early 20’s-30’s, slicked back hair, goatee and mustache, approximately 5’4” tall, wearing a white t-shirt and black baggy pants.
