Vacaville Police Officers Make Arrest Thanks to Community Cooperation

Officers were able to arrest a man in Vacaville Friday afternoon on suspicion of a probation violation and a sex offense thanks to cooperation from the community, police said.

A call came in from someone at a local retail store on Helen Power Drive reporting that they had observed an allegedly wanted man leaving the business, according to police. Officers responded and found Geret Losoya, 31, who is allegedly wanted in both Solano and Yolo counties on suspicion of a probation violation and indecent exposure, police said.

Losoya tried to run away and climbed a tree in hopes of evading officers, but they tracked him down, police said. Losoya climbed down from the tree and was arrested and taken to Solano County Jail, according to police.

“We truly count on the partnership we have with our community and business partners to ensure Vacaville continues to be a very safe place to live and shop,” police said on social media.
