Frederick Patterson III Convicted of Killing Cellmate After Killing Previous Cellmate

Jackson County, Florida – According to the Jackson County Clerk of Circuit Court’s Office, Frederick Patterson III was sentenced to life in prison for second-degree murder.

Wednesday a Jackson County jury convicted Frederick Patterson III of second-degree murder.

They determined he used his hands and feet to beat his 82-year-old cellmate to death on October 2, 2015, when he was in the Apalachee Correctional Institution in Sneads.

The trial lasted two days, and witnesses proved the attack using pictures.

He’s also accused of killing a cellmate on January 15th at the Jackson County Correctional Facility. The cellmate reportedly died from their injuries after an ambush style attack.

He told correctional officers that “there’s one less child molester on the streets,” The News-Herald reports.
