Pleasanton Bank Robbed, Police Release Photo of Alleged Suspect

ID #18-51

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a middle-aged man who robbed the Chase Bank on Stoneridge Mall Road on Friday.

At around 10 a.m., a man entered the Chase branch at 5800 Stoneridge Mall Road and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave the man an unspecified amount of money, which police said was more than $1,000, but the bank was still trying to determine how much.

The man fled the area and police are asking for the public’s help in locating him.

The suspect is described as a black man, 50 to 60 years old, standing approximately 6-foot-3-inches high and weighing somewhere around 200 pounds. He was wearing gray pants, a white shirt, a dark green beanie and dark-rimmed eyeglasses.

While it may not be associated with the incident, a newer model silver Toyota Camry was seen in the area at the time.
