U.S. Bank Branch Robbery Caught on Camera, Police Release Suspect Photos

ID #18-25

Santa Cruz police are searching for a bank robbery suspect who got away before police arrived on the scene Wednesday afternoon. The robbery happened at about 4:45 p.m. at the U.S. Bank located at 110 Morrissey Blvd.

After gathering statements from victims and witnesses and reviewing security video, police determined the suspect pulled out a firearm and demanded money from tellers.

The suspect ordered bank tellers to open the drawers and he successfully got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The suspect was last seen running out of the bank and into the parking lot.

Police received a lead that the suspect may be in the area of High Street, but they couldn’t locate him. The suspect is described as a man who was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, sunglasses, a mask and gloves.
