Anthony Jimenez Arrested in Vacaville for Allegedly Firing Gun into Air

Police arrested a man who allegedly fired a gun from the balcony of a Vacaville apartment Saturday.

According to police, on Saturday morning Anthony Jimenez, 35, fired a handgun into the air multiple times from a second-story balcony at an apartment complex on Rocky Hill Road.

Officers arrived at the scene and contacted Jimenez at the apartment. After taking him into custody, officers searched the apartment and recovered the firearm, police said.

Jimenez, a convicted felon, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as negligent discharge of a firearm, police said.

Investigators were unable to figure out why Jimenez discharged the firearm into the air.

No one was injured in the incident, police said.
