San Jose Police Arrested a Woman this Morning After an Hours-Long standoff on Holly Drive

San Jose police arrested a woman this morning after an hours-long standoff that began Sunday evening, police said. At 5:52 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a call of two people fighting in the 3300 block of Holly Drive, Officer Gina Tepoorten said.

Neighbors in the area told arriving officers that a woman was upset over a parking situation and allegedly brandished a gun at neighbors, Tepoorten said. A police SWAT team responded to the scene and several nearby homes were evacuated.

After several hours, the woman surrendered to police early this morning. She was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm, Tepoorten said. Police have not released the suspect’s name. She was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
