No Explosives Found at Storage Facility, Street Reopened

Campbell police have reopened Curtner Avenue and canceled evacuations in the area after police determined there were no explosives on the scene of what was originally billed as a bomb threat.

The incident occurred at 1 p.m. at Extra Space Storage at 50 Curtner Ave., after a caller initially said that a customer who was unhappy with her storage unit bill claimed she had hazardous materials in her storage unit and allegedly said she was going to blow the place up.

Although a bomb squad responded to the scene, Campbell Police Department Sgt. Gary Berg said after further investigation, officers determined that there was no specific threat made and the woman who claimed to have the materials in her storage unit has been spoken to.

No arrests were made during the incident.
