Police in Union City last week arrested a man in connection with an alleged assault with a deadly weapon. Carlos Romero, 25, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, making criminal threats and brandishing a weapon, according to the Union City Police Department.
Officers responded at 1:40 p.m. May 23 to the 32600 block of Brenda Way on a report that alleged a man brandished a firearm and a knife. Police said the victims alleged Romero threatened to kill them during a verbal dispute and then stabbed their screen door with a knife.
The victims also alleged Romero brandished a gun, according to police.
