Mark Villarreal Parolee Arrested After Parole Search Allegedly Reveals Honey-Oil Conversion Lab

A parole search at a Santa Clara home last week resulted in the discovery of butane honey-oil conversion lab, police said today.

On March 17, officers conducted a parole search on Mark Villareal at a home in the 2000 block of Jackson Street, according to police.

Upon arrival, officers located Villareal sitting inside a car parking in the home’s garage. A search of him yielded a controlled substance, a wallet, a watch, a cellphone and about $955 in cash. Inside Villareal’s bedroom, officers found drug paraphernalia, police said.

Inside the home’s garage, officers found a butane hone-oil conversion lab, as well as marijuana and a digital scale. Officers later searched Villareal’s phone and found numerous text messages indicating he was involved in the sale of drugs, according to police. Officers arrested Villareal and booked him into the Santa Clara County Jail.
