Tulsa Police Release DashCam Video of Pursuit and Officer Involved Shooting

Tulsa police have released dash camera video of a pursuit and officer-involved shooting from earlier in the week. One of the videos shows the suspect ramming a pursuing police car with his stolen pickup then driving off.

Another video shows the end of the chase and appears to contain audio of a police officer firing his weapon.

The man driving the stolen pickup as Russell Rosser, 43, police said. A passenger in the truck jumped out and ran and police have not found him yet.

Police said the chase started around 4:30 p.m. on June 15, 2016 when an officer attempted to pull over a truck in the 800 block of North Louisville Avenue.

They said the driver rammed the police vehicle and drove off. As the video shows, as other officers joined the pursuit, at one point Rosser put the truck in reverse and rammed a squad car, disabling it.

An officer can be heard on the video telling other officers the suspect crashed at Pine and Dawson. That’s where Sergeant Steve Stoltz shot and killed him.
