A 59-year-old man was arrested in Utah for allegedly molesting at least five young girls in Millbrae over a 21-year period, San Mateo County sheriff’s officials announced today. Latu Kamisese Lavaki was arrested by the fugitive unit of the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office following a 10-month investigation by San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies into alleged molestations that occurred in Millbrae between 1985 and 2006. Lavaki, a resident of South Jordan in Utah, allegedly molested the girls when they were between 5 and 8 years old and sheriff’s officials said they have information suggesting there may be additional victims. Lavaki is in county jail in Salt Lake City awaiting extradition back to California, according to the sheriff’s office.
