Police in Fremont are looking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with several recent bank robberies. Police said a serial robbery suspect, who is also thought to be responsible for several incidents in the greater Bay Area, robbed two banks in Fremont.

On Feb. 12 at 11:30 a.m., a man entered the Chase Bank located in the 3900 block of Washington Boulevard, approached the bank teller and passed a demand note, police said. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled the bank and was last seen entering into the driver’s seat of a newer model black Ford Mustang. There was no weapon used or seen during the robbery, police said.

On Thursday at 1:12 p.m., the suspect entered a Safeway store located in the 46800 block of Mission Boulevard, approached a U.S. Bank clerk and presented a demand note. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect thanked the clerk and left the store.

There was no weapon used or seen during the robbery, and a black newer model Ford Mustang was seen leaving the area, police said.

The suspect is described as a light skinned or white man, about 30 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall and with an average build. He has a full facial beard that is red and black. He wore sunglasses in both robbery incidents, police said.
