Police this morning are looking for the suspect believed to be involved in a Tuesday drive-by shooting in Richmond. Officers responded at 4:24 p.m. to the area of South 16th Street and Virginia Avenue on a report of a shooting and located two men suffering from gunshot wounds. The men were shot as they drove south in the 300 block of South 16th Street, police said. Police said the suspect was driving north on South 16th Street, and as he approached the victims, he positioned his vehicle so they couldn’t pass him. At that point, the suspect fired multiple shots at the victims, and both were struck by gunfire, police said. Both victims suffered injuries that were not life threatening. There was also a female victim in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, but she was not injured. Police said 11 shots were fired at the victims. The suspect is described as a black man with dreadlocks. He fled the area north on South 16th Street in a two-door silver or gray vehicle that could have been an Acura.
