A Mississippi city councilman is urging his constituents to throw rocks, bricks and bottles at police who are chasing suspects through their town.
Councilman Kenneth Stokes in Jackson told the local NBC affiliate WBLT, “That will send a message we don’t want you in here.”
The councilman expressed his anger over police chasing dangerous Jackson criminals into small surrounding communities.
The councilman has a history of making controversial statements. In 2014, he insisted that the recently deceased mayor was murdered, even though officials insisted he died of natural causes.
