A 58-year-old woman found dead of a suspected homicide in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood early Friday morning has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as Maryanne Descalso. Descalso was found in the 400 block of Ellis Street shortly before 12:35 a.m. Friday.
Police did not say how she died except that the case is being investigated as a homicide. The killing was the first of two in San Francisco on Friday morning. At about 6:30 a.m., 33-year-old Allison Sparrow died in a suspected homicide in the 2700 block of 16th Street. No arrests have been made in either case as of this morning, police said.
