San Jose Police Looking For Woman Wanted In Pair Of Bank Robberies This Week

ID #15-554

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a woman wanted for two bank robberies that occurred this week in South San Jose, a police spokesman said.

The first robbery happened shortly before noon Tuesday at a Chase bank branch at 6471 Almaden Expressway, police Officer Albert Morales said.

The woman went inside the bank where she approached a teller and handed a note, which stated a demand for cash and that she had a gun, Morales said. After the employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash she left the scene in a black sedan, according to Morales.

The suspect robbed a U.S. Bank branch located inside a Nob Hills Foods grocery store at 6061 Snell Ave. in a similar fashion to the first one shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, Morales said. No injuries were reported in either robbery.
