A councilwoman allegedly called to complain about an officer trimming trees. The Dallas police officer had stopped to help a 90-year-old man trim some trees in his front yard, Jason Stringer, the grandson of the elderly man, told the publication. “An officer showing he cares that much about going out and helping the community,” Stringer said in his interview. “If anything I think he should get a commendation. When he came over someone ended up calling in and reporting there was an officer trimming trees and not on duty.” The person who allegedly called to complain was Dallas City Councilwoman Carolyn King Arnold. She told police it was on behalf of a constituent who was upset.
