Law enforcement agencies in Solano County made 71 arrests during probation and parole searches in Fairfield, a police lieutenant said. The seven-day Street Criminal Apprehension Team detail between May 24 and Saturday included compliance checks on 55 residents on probation, parole or post-release community supervision in high crime areas, Fairfield police Lt. Rob Lenke said.
Officers also confiscated three illegal and issued misdemeanor citations for traffic violations, Lenke said. During one full day of parole and probation searches, officers found three stolen motorcycles and evidence of a “chop shop” operating in the 500 block of Kentucky Street in Fairfield, Lenke said.
Members of the Solano County Sheriff’s Office, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Avoid the Ten Task Force and police from Vacaville and Vallejo participated in the effort to conduct maximum enforcement in high crime areas, Lenke said.
