Three East Palo Alto men were arrested Thursday in connection with a residential burglary in Cupertino. The suspects, identified as Angel Garcia, Christian Jimenez and Kevin Barragan were arrested on suspicion of burglary, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. At the time of his arrest, Barragan was found to be out on bail for a separate burglary, according to sheriff’s officials.

Deputies responded at 8:37 p.m. to a report of a residential burglary in progress in the 10000 block of Byrne Avenue, sheriff’s officials said. A witness reported seeing two men jump over her neighbor’s fence and saw a suspicious vehicle with a man inside parked outside the residence, according to sheriff’s officials.

Responding deputies set up a perimeter, detained the driver and noticed lights going on and off inside the residence, sheriff’s officials said. The two other suspects were located inside the residence and taken into custody, sheriff’s officials said. One of the suspects had multiple pieces of jewelry stolen from the home in his pocket, according to sheriff’s officials.
