Police on Tuesday arrested a woman who allegedly used a stolen credit card to rent a hotel room in Sausalito.

Officers responded at 10:39 a.m. to the Inn Above Tide at 30 El Portal St. in reference to a guest who possibly rented a room with a stolen credit card.

The hotel manager told police the woman, later identified as Angel Beasley, 37, of San Lorenzo, booked a room under a different name.

After she checked in, American Express contacted the hotel and notified the manager that the card used to book the room was fraudulently obtained, police said.

Officers entered the hotel room and took Beasley into custody as she tried to flee out of the back of the room, police said.

Investigators determined Beasley had outstanding warrants for her arrest, including a $60,000 warrant for theft and another for probation violation.

She was arrested on suspicion of identity theft, possession of methamphetamine, defrauding an innkeeper, possession of a fictitious driver’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia and the two outstanding arrest warrants, police said.
