Fugitive Watch is pleased to announce that alleged San Jose murder suspect Hector Flores Arias was arrested in Mexico Sunday (4/18/15) after a tipster called the Fugitive Watch “Most Wanted” program.
Arias was arrested by Mexican police in San Jose de Gracia, a town east of Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco where he had been hiding out. He was being sought since 2009 when he fled after allegedly killing Juan Mendoza.
San Jose police detectives and the FBI coordinated with Mexican police and arrested Arias Sunday. Police say that Arias bit two Mexican police officers and tried attacking another officer in a struggle during his arrest.
He was transported to the San Jose Police Department where he tried to escape by running through a parking lot but was immediately re-captured.
This is the 2nd Murder/Robbery fugitive captured in two days after a tipster call to Fugitive Watch.
