The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking Antonio Ambriz. According to deputies, on Friday, April 17, 2015, at approximately 8:46 am, San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies from the North County Patrol Bureau were dispatched to a carjacking and assault wit h a deadly weapon which took place near the intersection of South Ashton Avenue and Millbrae Avenue in the City of Millbrae.
The 64 year old male victim reported leaving his vehicle, a 1991 white Acura Legend with a California license plate of 2WXC542, in his driveway with the engine running as he retrieved some forgotten items inside his residence.
It was at that time he heard his car door slam and saw the suspect, later identified as Antonio Ambriz, in the driver’s seat. The suspect struck the victim wi th the vehicle, knocking him down to the pavement and running him over .
He was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The suspect fled the area and law enforcement county wide were on the lookout for him as well as the vehicle. At this time Ambr iz is still at large and should be considered dangerous. If located, do not approach, but immediately contact your local law enforcement agency.
