Albuquerque police are looking for two men they say shot and killed a man and wounded another last Wednesday, Nov. 24 in the 1100 block of Indiana SE.

Police say the suspects are Michael Hall and Julius Toney; both are 18 years old, according to arrest warrants for both men.

According to the warrants, a man and his uncle invited Hall over to smoke marijuana that evening just before 8 p.m. Toney showed up to the house with Hall.

According to the warrant, after hanging out for a bit, Toney grabbed the uncle’s shotgun from his bedroom, which was visible from the living room in which the men were hanging out.

Hall then allegedly pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the two victims while telling Toney to “grab the weed.”

The victim ran to a bedroom to call police, after which he returned to the living room and saw his uncle struggling with Toney to get the shotgun back. The victim said he punched Hall to try and help his uncle, after which he was hit in the back of the head with the butt of the shotgun.

The warrant says Hall then started shooting at the two victims before running from the house. Toney allegedly stole the uncle’s shotgun.

When police arrived on scene, they pronounced the uncle dead. The other victim was taken to UNMH, where after being treated, he identified Hall and Toney as the shooters.

Neither suspect has been caught at this time. Each face 1st-degree murder, aggravated assault, assault with intent to commit a violent felony, conspiracy and tampering with evidence charges.

The victim’s names are not being released out of safety concerns.
