Police are still looking for a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a 51-year-old woman in West Oakland Monday morning.

Christine Ligon, 51, was found with a stab wound to her chest in the 1900 block of Linden Street at 6:46 a.m., according to police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are continuing to search for a suspect who was seen fleeing north on Linden Street after the stabbing, Watson said. She declined to provide any description of that suspect.
