On Saturday Oct, 11, 2014 at approximately 10:40 PM officers were called to the area of Cortland and Glenn for a report of a disturbance with gun shots being heard. Patrol officers and Violent Crime Impact Team officers responded and contacted witnesses and victims.
Officers discovered that a fight took place and that David Rubio fired at least two gunshots from a 25 caliber pistol toward a house during the fight. Rubio then fled the area in a silver Volkswagen. Officers located the car in the area of Maple and Kings Canyon and found a 25 cal pistol inside it.
Witnesses saw Rubio leave the area of the car on foot a few minutes prior to officers finding it. Rubio is a Bulldog gang member and is currently wanted for the shooting as well as other weapons charges. He is on Felony Probation for domestic violence and drugs. He also has outstanding warrants for probation violation, drug possession and resisting arrest.
