Vallejo police have identified a man who was fatally shot while inside a truck last Wednesday as 25-year-old Ryan Maher. Maher, a Vallejo resident, was found in the truck at Admiral Callaghan Lane and Columbus Parkway. He was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries, police Sgt. Joe Iacono said. Suspects were seen driving away from the area in a gold-colored Chevrolet Malibu or similar vehicle, Iacono said. Maher worked as a cement mason for the family’s concrete contractor business, M F Maher, according to his obituary. He excelled in baseball and football at St. Patrick-St Vincent High School in Vallejo and attended California State University, Chico.
