Two shooting suspects were hospitalized after a high-speed pursuit through Oakland on Saturday night, a sheriff’s spokesman said.An Alameda County Sheriff’s deputy reported seeing a man firing a gun from a vehicle near Seminary Drive and Foothill Boulevard at about 11:20 p.m., sheriff’s Sgt. J.D. Nelson said. No one was injured in the shooting, and two suspects — the driver and a passenger – drove off at high speed, Nelson said.
The chase lasted just a few blocks, when the driver’s vehilce struck several parked cars and crashed near MacArthur Boulevard and 62nd Avenue, Nelson said. The two suspects both suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Highland Hospital, Nelson said. They were expected to survive. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
