A wanted parolee is behind bars after allegedly leading police on a chase through Antioch with drugs, cash and a loaded gun in his possession, according to police. Around 2 p.m. Wednesday, undercover Antioch police detectives spotted parolee Alan Wilson, 38, driving near Sycamore Drive and L Street, police said. The detectives and patrol officers attempted to stop Wilson, but he drove away, leading them on an eight-minute pursuit through Antioch, according to police.
Police said the chase ended in the 2900 block of Filbert Street, where Wilson got out of his car and fled on foot. He allegedly hopped fences as he fled but was apprehended a short time later. Police said he was found to be in possession of a large amount of drugs, cash and a loaded handgun, and that there was evidence of drug sales. Wilson, an Antioch resident, was arrested on his parole warrant and on suspicion of drug trafficking and gun possession. He is being held in county jail in Martinez on $538,000 bail.
