Five suspects are at large this afternoon after robbing a bank this morning in Capitola, a Santa Cruz County sheriff’s official said. Deputies responded to a report of a bank robbery at Bank of the West, located at 3820 Capitola Road, at about 11:35 a.m., sheriff’s dispatch supervisor Kevin Fink said. Five suspects, armed with handguns, robbed the bank and fled the scene, Fink said. Details of what was robbed and how the suspects got away were not disclosed. No one was injured in the robbery.
