* Concord resident suffered minor injuries fighting off female burglar

A Concord resident suffered minor injuries early this morning in a scuffle with an intruder after he interrupted a burglary at his home, Concord police Cpl. James Carroll said. Police received a call shortly before 2:30 a.m. reporting a residential burglary in the 1800 block of Renee Way.

The suspect, a female, fled before officers arrived. The victim told investigators he had physically fought with the intruder before she escaped, Carroll said. A description of the burglar was not immediately available this morning.
