Officers arrested a man suspected in a hit-and-run crash that injured a motorcyclist in Santa Rosa Wednesday night, police said. Police responded to the intersection of Dutton Avenue and West Third Street at around 11:20 p.m. Officers found a motorcycle driver suffering from a possible fractured arm sustained during a crash with a car. The car drove away from the scene before police arrived. Responding officers received a call from a citizen who had followed the car that fled the scene. The citizen said the fleeing car crashed into a pole at Sebastopol Road and Dutton Avenue and continued to drive.
The caller followed the car to the 1500 block of Gloria Drive, police said. Officers arrived at Gloria Drive and found the suspect, 23-year-old Adan Garcia-Salome of Santa Rosa. Police said that Garcia-Salome put up a brief struggle before he was detained. Garcia-Salome was booked into Sonoma County Jail and is facing charges of felony hit-and-run, felony DUI, and resisting arrest.
