* Santa Cruz Police Searching for Shooting Suspects

Santa Cruz police are searching for three suspects involved in a vehicle shooting early Friday morning, officials said. A man shot at a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old Santa Cruz man on Barson Street at about 12:30 a.m., authorities said. The suspect fired shots from a red Nissan or Honda sedan when the victim drove by the car, according to Santa Cruz police. The shooter, described by police as a Hispanic man in his 20s with a thick mustache, was wearing a red hat and a white shirt. The driver of the red car, a Hispanic man, was wearing a black shirt, officials said. There was a third unknown suspect in the back of the car, officials said. The victim, who was uninjured, continued driving down Barson Street before contacting police. The suspects turned north on Campbell Street, officials said. Officers searched the area, but could not find the suspects or their car. Detectives are working with the victim to find out more information about possible suspects.
