* Monterey Deputies Searching for Carmel Wells Fargo Bank Robbers

Deputies in Monterey County are searching for two men who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Carmel on Saturday, the sheriff’s office said. The suspects, who appeared to be unarmed, entered the bank at 26609 Carmel Center Place at around 4 p.m. and ordered the employees and customers to the floor, deputies said.  The men took $299 from one of the open drawers and fled the bank before deputies arrived, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies conducted a search of the surrounding area but could not find the suspects. The suspects are described as white men, about 6 feet tall, and of medium build.
