A woman whose husband fatally shot her before turning the gun on himself in their home in unincorporated San Pablo early Sunday morning has been identified as 33-year-old Magaly Iglesias, a Contra Costa County deputy coroner said today. The sheriff’s office received a call at about 12:15 a.m. from a 17-year-old boy who said that his father had pulled a gun on his mother in the 200 block of Heather Drive in the unincorporated Montalvin Manor neighborhood, sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said. When deputies arrived, they found Iglesias and her 46-year-old husband suffering from gunshot wounds, Lee said. Iglesias was pronounced dead at the scene, Lee said. Her husband was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was listed in critical condition, according to Lee. An update on his condition was not immediately available this morning. Lee said authorities believe the husband killed his wife before shooting himself, and are not looking for any other suspects in the case. The 17-year-old boy was not physically injured in the attack and is staying with relatives, Lee said.
