* Escape of 53 Dangerous Prisoners From Mexican Cieneguillas Prison Caught on Surveillance Camera

The international police agency Interpol and the Mexican government have released photos of 53 dangerous men that escaped from the Cieneguillas prison in Zacatecas, Mexico on May 16, 2009.  Authorities report that a convoy of vehicles, men and a helicopter made up to look like federal police drove into the facility drove off with members of a drug cartel gang. The plot was well planned and executed with presicion within 5 minutes. Zacatecas state Gov. Amalia Garcia Medina said footage from the security cameras inside and outside the prison indicates that guards helped the armed gang.  She and the President of Mexico vow that this will not go unpunished. They have committed the entire weight of the federal police and army to hunt them down and recapture them. President Felipe Calderon has sent more than 45,000 soldiers to combat drug gangs.
