Cleveland Police Dog “Falco” Shot and Killed by Fugitive Wanted for Murder

A fugitive on the run from Cleveland has died after shooting and killing a police dog in Toledo.

Reginald Marshall had been on the run from Cleveland since May for allegedly shooting a man in the back of the head on the east side of the city.

Earlier this week, he was spotted in Toledo, where officers followed him into a vacant home. The K-9 officer found Marshall hiding in a crawl space of the house. That’s where Marshall shot and killed the dog and was later shot himself. It’s not clear yet as to whether Marshall was shot by police or if he took his own life.

Flags in Toledo will be flown at half-staff until noon Friday in honor of the fallen K-9.
