The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office today identified a couple who were found dead in their home west of Petaluma last week as Mark Allen Edington, 60, and his 56-year-old wife Terri Lynne Edington. Terri Edington’s sister asked the sheriff’s office on May 7 to check on her welfare because she had not seen her or her brother-in-law in about a month.

The sister said the grass was high on the couple’s property in the 4700 block of Roblar Road in unincorporated Sonoma County and mail was piling up in the mailbox, according to the sheriff’s office. Sheriff’s detectives found the two bodies in the home and determined the deaths were suspicious. The deaths are still under investigation, sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Crum said. The Edingtons were identified through dental records, sheriff’s officials said.
