Brian Borland Arrested by BART Police For Outstanding Warrants

BART police arrested a transient man Friday evening who had outstanding arrest warrants from two Bay Area cities.

At 7:49 p.m., police received reports from patrons aboard a Dublin-bound train that a male suspect was possibly involved in drug activity on the train, police said.

When the train reached the Lake Merritt station in Oakland, officers detained the suspect, who was identified as 27-year-old Brian Borland, a transient, police said. Police did not find any evidence of drugs on Borland, however, a records check revealed that he had two outstanding arrest warrants. Borland had a $10,000 warrant for larceny out of Colma, and a $7,500 warrant for larceny out of Pleasanton, police said.

Borland was arrested and booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail.
