Watsonville Police Seeking 2 Robbery Suspects

Police are seeking two suspects in an armed robbery of a gas station in Watsonville that happened early this morning.

Around 3:16 a.m., officers went to the Quik Stop gas station at 2140 Freedom Boulevard after an armed robbery was reported there. They learned that two suspects, one armed with a silver handgun, had demanded cash from an employee, police said. The clerk gave the cash to the robbers and wasn’t hurt, according to police. The suspects fled the scene going northbound on Freedom Boulevard on foot, police said. Officers searched the area but couldn’t find the men. \

The first suspect, a five-foot-six man, was around 150 pounds, wearing a black hat, a blue bandanna, a white hooded sweater and dark pants, according to police. He was armed with a silver handgun, police said.

The second suspect was around six feet tall, about 160 pounds, and he was wearing a black jacket, white shirt, dark pants and blue latex gloves, police said.
