Teens Arrested on Suspicion of Credit Card Fraud

Two teenagers were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of credit card fraud at San Bruno’s The Shops at Tanforan mall, police said. Michael Evans of Millbrae, and Marissa Tercero of San Bruno, both 19, were arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of identity theft, use of a fraudulent access card, conspiracy and burglary, San Bruno police Lt. Ryan Johansen said.

A San Bruno police officer contacted the two around 1:17 p.m. at the mall, Johansen said. According to him, the two were suspected of having committed credit card fraud at businesses in the mall in the past. Johansen said an investigation revealed that the two had allegedly used a fraudulent credit card to make purchases at a shop in the mall.
